Live location links
Share a vehicle's live location with a link that expires
Send a customer, a partner or a colleague a link to one vehicle's live position. It opens in any browser without an account, shows the route since the link was created, and stops working when it expires or when you stop sharing.
Included in every Fleet Hero package, from €10.80 per vehicle per month with the SIM card and mobile data.
01How it works
Two clicks to share, one click to stop
Create a link
From the vehicle to the link in two clicks
Open a vehicle on the live map and choose 'Share live location'. Pick how long the link should work, then copy it or hand it to your phone's share menu and send it through any messaging app.
- 15 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days, with 1 hour selected first
- Each link covers one vehicle, and a vehicle can have several active links
- The expiry time is shown as soon as the link is created
What the recipient sees
A clear page, with no login and no app
The link opens a map with the vehicle, its state, its speed and the time of the last update, plus the route it has driven since the link was created. The page refreshes itself every 30 seconds while it is open, in the visitor's own language.
- States: Live, No recent signal, Paused or No position yet
- The vehicle's plate and your company name, never the driver
- The time the link expires, shown on the page
Stay in control
See every active link and stop it at any time
Each vehicle lists its active links with their expiry times. 'Stop sharing' ends a link at once: anyone who opens it then sees a page saying the link is no longer active. No link can last longer than 7 days.
- A privacy pause hides the vehicle on every link until recording resumes
- Links are kept out of search engines, and positions are never served from a cache
- Only people with the share permission can create or stop links

Four lifetimes
15 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days, chosen when you create the link.
No account needed
The recipient opens the link in any browser, on a phone or a computer.
Route since sharing
The page shows where the vehicle has driven since the link was created, and nothing before.
In the recipient's language
The page opens in the visitor's browser language, with a switcher for the other languages.
Respects privacy pauses
While a vehicle is paused, the link shows 'Paused' and no position or route.
Honest when the signal drops
If the vehicle stops reporting, the page says so and shows the last known position with its time.
Hard to guess
Each link contains a long random code, and an expired or stopped link cannot be opened again.
Who may share
Administrators and fleet managers can share links; other roles need the share permission.
Share from the phone
Office Hero Manager offers the same links on iOS and Android, coming soon to the app stores.
Coming soon
What a link shows, and what it never shows
A link shows one vehicle: its plate or name, your company name, its state, speed and last update, the expiry time and the route since the link was created. It never shows the driver, other vehicles or anything from before the link was created.
04Questions
Questions about live location links
Not answered here? Write to [email protected]. A person from our team in Skopje replies, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET.
Does the recipient need an account or an app?
No. The link opens a web page in any browser, on a phone or a computer, without signing in.
How long does a link work?
For the lifetime you chose: 15 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days. You can stop it earlier at any time, and after that the page says the link is no longer active.
What exactly does the recipient see?
The vehicle's plate or name, your company name, the vehicle's state and speed, the time of its last update, when the link expires and the route since the link was created. The driver's name and details are not shown.
What happens during a privacy pause?
The link shows 'Paused', with no position and no route, until recording resumes. Positions from the pause are never stored, so they can never appear on the link later.
Can one link show several vehicles?
No, each link covers one vehicle. Create a link for each vehicle you want to share; every vehicle lists its own active links.
Who in our company can create links?
Administrators and fleet managers can, out of the box. Other people need a role that includes the share permission, which an administrator can grant.
