Live GPS tracking
GPS vehicle tracking on a live map that shows how fresh each position is
Fleet Hero shows every vehicle on one map, moving as new positions arrive, and says clearly which vehicles are offline or have never reported. Find a vehicle in seconds, follow it, and see its speed, status and assigned driver.
Included in every Fleet Hero package, from €10.80 per vehicle per month with the SIM card and mobile data.
01How it works
What the live map shows
Live map
Every vehicle, and how fresh its position is
Positions arrive over a live connection, so markers move without reloading the page. A status line says 'Live · updated 2 min ago'; if the connection drops, the map says so and refreshes on a timer.
- Filter chips for moving, idle, stopped and offline, each with a count
- Filters by vehicle group and driver, and search by vehicle, driver or plate
- Sort by name, speed, driver or last update
Clusters and follow mode
Crowded areas stay readable
Where vehicles are close together, they merge into a bubble with their number and a ring that shows how many are moving, idle, stopped or offline. Vehicles parked at the same spot can be spread apart, and follow mode keeps one vehicle in view as it drives.
- 'Show all vehicles' frames the whole fleet again
- EU-style licence plates or simple coloured pills as markers
- Speed on the markers, hidden when the map gets crowded
Vehicle detail
From a marker to the driver and the route
Select a vehicle to see its speed and heading, its status, when it last reported and the assigned driver. From the same panel you can follow it, open its route history, create a live location link or open the position in a navigation app.
- Driver phone, e-mail and licence, only for people allowed to see driver records
- Open in Google Maps, Apple Maps or OpenStreetMap
- Geozone entries and exits pop up on the open map within about 30 seconds of being recorded
Readable telemetry
Tracker readings people can understand
Fleet Hero turns the numbered readings of Teltonika trackers into named values with units, such as fuel level, AdBlue, voltages, warning lamps and fault codes. The vehicle page adds a status block that answers what the vehicle is doing right now. What appears depends on what the installed tracker reports.
- Each reading shows when the tracker last sent it
- Warning lamps and active fault codes, with SPN and FMI on trucks
- 'Show raw values' for installers and support

Smaller things that help during the day
Map layers and traffic
OpenStreetMap, Google road or satellite maps and a live traffic layer, saved to your account.
Stale and missing positions
Vehicles that have not reported recently, or never, are counted apart, not drawn in the wrong place.
Paused vehicles
Positions from a privacy pause are never recorded, so they never appear on the map.
Offline grace per tracker
Minutes a tracker may stay silent, for tunnels and short gaps, before the vehicle page and the offline alert call it offline.
Geozones on the map
Depots and customer sites under the markers, with a pop-up for each entry and exit while the map is open.
Live location links
A link to one vehicle's live position for a customer, valid for up to 7 days.
Live tachograph crew
In the Business package, a truck's panel shows the cards in its tachograph and the driving figures the tracker sends.
Needs a tracker wired to the tachograph, such as the Teltonika FMC650, and the tracking history and tachograph permissions; co-driver figures appear only when the tracker sends them.

What the readings depend on
Positions work with every supported tracker, but named readings such as fuel, AdBlue, warning lamps and fault codes come from Teltonika trackers and include only what the installed model reports. People see these readings only with the tracking history permission, which the built-in Dispatcher role does not include; an administrator can grant it to a person or a custom role.
04Step by step
From tracker to live map
-
Step 1 Fit a tracker
Buy a Teltonika tracker from €65 and have it installed from €49 per vehicle. If you already have trackers, we check which of them can report to Fleet Hero.
-
Step 2 We register it
Office Hero adds the tracker to your company and sets how often it reports. Trackers that are not registered are refused.
-
Step 3 See it on the map
With its first position, the vehicle appears on the live map with its status.
-
Step 4 Make it yours
Save your map settings, set up alerts and share live locations.
05Questions
Questions about live GPS tracking
Not answered here? Write to [email protected]. A person from our team in Skopje replies, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET.
How often does a vehicle's position update?
Positions are shown the moment they arrive. While a vehicle drives, its tracker reports every 60 seconds in Essentials, 30 seconds in Professional and 10 seconds in Business, and we set the interval for you.
What happens when a vehicle has no mobile signal?
Teltonika trackers keep their records while there is no signal and send them when the connection returns, so the route history fills in. Meanwhile the map shows when the vehicle last reported and counts it as offline after 5 minutes; the vehicle page waits for the grace time you set.
Which trackers show the most detail?
Teltonika trackers show the most. An OBD tracker such as the FMC003 reads what the car's diagnostic socket provides, while the FMC650 for trucks can also read FMS and tachograph data. Other supported trackers send positions only.
Can a dispatcher see only some vehicles?
Yes. An administrator can limit each person to chosen vehicles or vehicle groups, and the map and the lists then show only those vehicles.
What about private trips in company cars?
Use privacy mode. While a privacy pause is open, the vehicle's positions are discarded as they arrive, so they never appear on the map. The distance is still counted for mileage.
Can we follow vehicles on a phone?
Fleet Hero runs in the web browser. Office Hero Manager, the phone app for iOS and Android, is in testing and will be published soon. Live location links already open on any phone.
