Languages
Business software in 15 languages, from Macedonian to Polish
Every screen, error message, e-mail and notification in Fleet Hero, HR Hero, Finance Hero and Office Hero Connect is available in 15 languages, including Albanian, Bosnian and Serbian in both Latin and Cyrillic. Each person chooses their own language, so one team can work in several languages at once.
All languages except English are machine translations. Native-speaker review is in progress.

02How it works
One language for each person, not one for the office
A language is a personal choice in Office Hero, so one company can work in several languages at once.
Per person
Each person works in their own language
Choose a language in the top bar and the screen changes at once, without signing out. Until you choose, the apps use the language saved with your account, normally your company's default language, and the sign-in page uses your browser's language when it is one of the 15. In Office Hero Connect, the language you save in your settings follows you to every device.
- Languages listed by their own names, such as Македонски, Shqip and Srpski
- A choice in the top bar is remembered by that app in your browser
- Colleagues in one company can each use a different language
- The company's default language for anyone who has not chosen
E-mails and notifications
Messages arrive in the reader's language
Invitations, password resets, sign-in codes and alert e-mails are written in each recipient's language: the language saved with that person's account, or otherwise the company's default. The language of the person who triggers a message does not matter, so a dispatcher working in English can raise an alert that a manager in Skopje receives in Macedonian.
- In-app notifications follow the reader's language too
- A request for Serbian without a script means Latin script, both on screen and in e-mails
- Portal users choose their e-mail language in the Office Hero Connect settings
- Staff cannot change their e-mail language yet: it is set when they are invited, to the company's language unless the admin picks another
- Nothing to choose per message: the language comes from the recipient
Documents
Invoices and reports in the language you need
Invoice and quote PDFs print in your company's language, which can be any of the 15. When you e-mail a fleet report as a PDF, you choose its language for that send, for up to 10 colleagues at a time.
- Invoice and quote PDFs in 15 languages
- Fleet report PDFs in the language you pick when you send them
- Finance report exports dated in each reader's own date format
Regional settings
Dates, time zones and pick-lists that fit the region
Language and date format are separate settings. Each company sets its time zone, one of 6 date formats, a 12- or 24-hour clock and the first day of the week, and reports, exports and notifications use them. Pick-lists such as countries, currencies, fuel types and employment types come translated.
- Any time zone, 6 date formats and a 12- or 24-hour clock
- Weeks that start on Monday or on Sunday
- 16 translated reference lists
- Your own units of measure and certification categories, with a name in each language
03In figures
Languages in numbers
- 15 interface languages in every web app
- 45,000+ interface texts translated into each language
- 2 scripts, Latin and Cyrillic
- 16 translated reference lists
04Details
Details that matter in a multilingual team
Serbian in both scripts
Choose Srpski (latinica) or Српски (ћирилица), and a browser set to Serbian without a script gets the Latin text. Portal users who save a script in Office Hero Connect receive their e-mails in it too.
Each language in its own name
The language menu lists Македонски, Shqip, Български and the others the way their speakers write them, so nobody has to find their language in English.
Permission matrix translated
The permission matrix is translated too, so admins set up access in their own language. Built-in role names are shown in English for now.
Translated pick-lists
Countries, currencies, time zones, payment methods, fuel types, body types and employment types appear in the reader's language.
Help in the portal
The Office Hero Connect knowledge base shows an article in your language when a translation exists, and in English otherwise.
The built-in help articles in Fleet Hero and HR Hero are in English only.
Wording you can improve
Tell us when a word is wrong in your language. We use your notes in the native-speaker review.
Mobile and TV apps
Office Hero Manager, the Office Hero Connect app and Office Hero Track come with the same 15 languages, and they are coming soon to the app stores.

05Questions
Questions about languages
Not answered here? Write to [email protected]. A person from our team in Skopje replies, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET.
Which languages does Office Hero support?
English, Macedonian, Albanian, Croatian, Bosnian, Slovenian, Serbian in Cyrillic and in Latin script, Bulgarian, Romanian, German, Italian, Spanish, French and Polish, in every web app.
Who translated the interface?
The 14 languages besides English were machine-translated, and an automated quality pass then corrected wrong terms, mixed scripts and missing plural forms. Native-speaker review is in progress. If a word is wrong in your language, tell us.
Can every employee use a different language?
Yes. Each person picks a language in the top bar, so one person can work in German while a colleague in the same company uses Macedonian.
Which language do e-mails use?
The recipient's language: the one saved with that person's account, or otherwise your company's default language. Portal users choose theirs in Office Hero Connect. Staff cannot change theirs yet: it is set when they are invited, to the company's language unless the admin picks another. This applies to invitations, password resets, sign-in codes and notifications.
In which language are invoices printed?
Invoice and quote PDFs use your company's language, which can be any of the 15. Fleet report PDFs are printed in the language you choose when you send them.
Is Serbian available in Cyrillic?
Yes. Serbian comes in Cyrillic and in Latin script, and each person picks one. The Cyrillic text is transliterated from the Latin text, so both say exactly the same.
Does the language change how dates are shown?
No. Dates follow your company's date and time settings: the time zone, one of 6 date formats, a 12- or 24-hour clock and the first day of the week. Language and date format are set separately.
