Accounting, invoicing and banking

Accounting software that keeps your books up to date as you work

Finance Hero, the accounting app of Office Hero, posts every issued invoice, approved bill, expense claim and payment to one double-entry ledger as you work. It handles several currencies at daily ECB and NBRM rates, matches your bank statements and runs in 15 languages.

  • Web

From €29 per company per month, excluding VAT. Office Hero Connect for your customers and suppliers is included.

01What is inside

Everything Finance Hero covers

The main areas each have their own page.

Sell and get paid

Buy and spend

Bank and currencies

  • Cash flow

A 30-day projection from open invoices and bills, and a direct or indirect cash-flow statement.

Books, plans and assets

  • Products and stock

Products, warehouses, stock levels with average cost, movement history and stocktakes by barcode or SKU.

Sales and purchases do not move stock: levels change through stocktakes, and movements are entered in the Office Hero Manager app, which is in testing.

  • Tax rates and VAT summary

Tax rates with effective dates on invoice and order lines, and a VAT summary built from posted documents.

The summary is simplified and covers North Macedonia (DDV-04), Albania, the UK, Germany, France and Spain; you file the return yourself.

02Why Finance Hero

Built so the numbers can be trusted

Double-entry

Books that post themselves and keep their history

Issued invoices, approved bills, payments, expense claims, stock movements, depreciation and disposals each post a balanced journal as you work. Corrections post reversing entries instead of deleting anything, and the trial balance shows plainly whether debits and credits agree.

  • Periods soft-close or hard-close, and a hard-closed period refuses postings
  • One action runs the year-end close into retained earnings

The year-end close gives correct amounts only when every document of the year is in your functional currency; with foreign-currency documents, close the year with a manual journal.

Ledger and reports

Currencies

Several currencies, one set of books

Keep the books in your functional currency and trade in any other. Daily rates come from the European Central Bank and the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, supplier payments book their exchange difference, and month-end revaluation reverses itself the next period. Invoices priced at an old rate carry a stale-rate badge.

Realised differences post automatically only from the Supplier payments screen; other payments need a manual journal.

Multi-currency

Banking

Bank statements matched for you

Upload MT940 or CAMT.053 statements and duplicates are skipped. Clear matches are booked in one click, the rest come with High, Medium or Low suggestions, and the dashboard shows bank cash next to book cash.

Bank reconciliation

Controls

Approvals where money leaves the company

Supplier bills wait in an approval inbox before they post, expense claims need a second person to approve and pay them out, and budgets pass through sign-off chains. Ready-made accountant roles and per-person data scopes decide who sees and changes what, and the audit trail records it.

Purchasing and bills

One account

Next to Fleet Hero, HR Hero and Office Hero Connect

Finance Hero shares one account with the rest of Office Hero. Expense claims are filed for the same employees HR Hero keeps, and customers and suppliers check their balances in Office Hero Connect.

The tools around the books

  • Accountant roles

Accountant has full finance access. External Accountant reads bills, bank, tax, reports and the ledger without changing them, and invoices once given a data scope for all customers.

  • Audit trail

Finance changes are logged with who made them and when, in a searchable log.

  • Several companies

Run several companies from one account and switch between them in the header.

  • Lists that work like spreadsheets

Search, filter chips, a column chooser and CSV export of selected rows on every register.

  • Documents library

PDF, PNG, JPEG or HEIC files up to 10 MB with category, tags and validity dates, all virus-scanned.

  • Emissions snapshot

Scope 1 and 2 figures from Fleet Hero fuel records and EV charging sessions, exported as ESRS E1 XBRL or VSME CSV and PDF.

Only as complete as your fleet data: office energy is left out and nothing is submitted to any authority.

05FAQ

Questions about Finance Hero

Not answered here? Write to [email protected]. A person from our team in Skopje replies, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET.

What does Finance Hero do?

It is the accounting app of Office Hero. Invoices, bills, expense claims, payments, stock movements and fixed assets all post to one double-entry ledger, so the books stay current as you work.

Who is Finance Hero for?

Small and mid-sized companies that invoice, buy and pay in more than one currency, such as denar and euro, and the accountants who keep their books.

Can my accountant work in Finance Hero?

Yes. Invite them as a team member with the Accountant role for full finance access, or with External Accountant to read bills, bank, tax, reports and the ledger without changing anything. To let them read invoices too, give them a data scope that covers all customers.

Which currencies and exchange rates does Finance Hero use?

Any currency you switch on, while the books stay in one functional currency that locks after the first journal. Rates arrive daily from the European Central Bank and the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, and manual rates are never overwritten.

Does Finance Hero help with VAT?

Yes, with tax rates that have effective dates and a simplified VAT summary from posted documents for North Macedonia (DDV-04), Albania, the UK, Germany, France and Spain. You or your accountant file the return.

Does Finance Hero send invoices to the tax authority?

No. Finance Hero does not send invoices to a tax authority's system, such as e-Faktura in North Macedonia, SEF in Serbia, eRačun in Croatia or CIS in Albania, and it does not register invoices or receipts on a fiscal device. Where your country requires this, keep your current provider for it alongside Finance Hero.

In which languages can we use Finance Hero?

In 15 languages, including Macedonian, Albanian, Serbian in Latin and Cyrillic script, Croatian, Bosnian, Slovenian, Bulgarian and Romanian. Invoice and quote PDFs print in your company's language. The translations are machine-made and are being reviewed by native speakers.

Can customers and suppliers see their balances?

Yes, in Office Hero Connect, included with Finance Hero. Customers see their outstanding balance and recent invoices, and suppliers see what you owe them. The full invoice list and monthly statements are enabled on request.

How much does Finance Hero cost?

Essentials costs €29 per company per month with 3 users, and Professional €59 with 10 users. Professional adds budgets with approvals, fixed assets, basic stock and warehouses, sales and purchase orders, and period close and year-end. Prices exclude VAT; annual billing is 10% lower.

Where is our financial data kept?

On our servers in Skopje, North Macedonia, outside the EU; files and backups are kept in Cloudflare R2. Each company has its own database schema, and sensitive personal data such as employee bank details is encrypted with the company's own key.
