Transport and logistics
Transport and logistics software for trucks, drivers and customers
Fleet Hero, the fleet management app of Office Hero, shows every truck and van on a live map, reads the driver cards and the driving time left from the tachograph where the tracker is wired to it, and lets customers follow their delivery with a link that expires. HR Hero keeps the same drivers' contracts, leave and working hours.
Fleet Hero from €10.80 per vehicle per month, with the SIM card and mobile data included. Live tachograph data is part of the Business package. Prices exclude VAT.
01What Office Hero covers
The questions a transport office answers every day
Each tile links to the feature page with the details, what the feature needs to work and its limits.
Where is each truck now?
The live map shows every vehicle with its status, speed, driver and the age of its last position, and says how many have not reported recently.
Customers asking where their load is
Send a link to one vehicle's live position that expires after 15 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days. It opens without an account.
Driving time and breaks
See the cards in both tachograph slots, each driver's current activity and the driving time left before a break, today and this week.
Needs a tracker wired to the digital tachograph, such as the Teltonika FMC650; without that link, driving time is only estimated from ignition and speed.
Problems spotted too late
21 built-in alert types, such as a tracker going offline or losing power, a vehicle leaving a geozone or low fuel, in the app and by e-mail to colleagues.
Papers that expire
Insurance policies, registrations and driving licences get renewal reminders up to 90 days ahead, and a count shows vehicles without compulsory cover.
Licences, CPC and tachograph cards
Each driver's licence categories, CPC and tachograph card are kept with their expiry dates, and a calendar shows who drives which vehicle.
Fuel use you cannot explain
Fill-ups with price per litre and l/100 km, tank-level charts, refuels found from the tank readings and an alert when a recorded fill-up is larger than the tank.
Tank-level charts and refuel detection need a tracker that reports the fuel level, for example from the truck's CAN bus.
Vans of 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes
Since 1 July 2026, many vans over 2.5 and up to 3.5 tonnes used for international transport or cabotage need a smart tachograph. Our guide explains who is covered, the exemptions and what is still unclear for vans from AETR countries.
The fleet on the dispatch-room wall
Office Hero Track will show the live map, the fleet list and the most serious alerts on an Android TV. It is coming soon to Google Play.

02How it works
Dispatch, driving time and drivers, in detail
Three screens a transport office works with every day.
Dispatch
One map for the dispatcher, one link for the customer
The live map updates as positions arrive and says plainly when the feed is interrupted, so you can always tell whether it is up to date. From a truck's detail panel you can follow it, replay its route or create a link for the customer. The customer's page shows the position, the speed, the last update and the route since the link was created.
- Filters for moving, idle, stopped and offline vehicles, vehicle groups and drivers
- Geozones around depots and customer sites, with every entry and exit recorded
- A vehicle's position opens in Google Maps, Apple Maps or OpenStreetMap
Driving time
Driving time read from the truck's tachograph
On trucks whose tracker is wired to the digital tachograph, Fleet Hero shows who is in each card slot, what each driver is doing and how much driving time is left before the next break, today and this week. The figures are the tachograph's own, shown next to the reference limits of Regulation (EC) No 561/2006, and they are not a legal assessment.
- Driver and co-driver, matched to your roster; how much the co-driver slot shows depends on the tracker
- Extended driving days and reduced daily rests still available this week
- Trucks read only over the FMS interface show the card and the activity, without driving times
- Driving-hours and missing-break alerts run on counters estimated from ignition and speed, not on the tachograph's own figures
Drivers
One record per driver, shared by Fleet Hero and HR Hero
A driver is an employee in HR Hero marked as a professional driver, so each person exists once. Fleet Hero adds the licence categories, CPC and tachograph card with their expiry dates; HR Hero adds the contract, leave and timesheets.
- Ending an employment in HR Hero removes the person's Office Hero Connect access
- Cards reported by tachograph-reading trackers can be linked to drivers or added as new ones
- An assignments calendar of who drives which vehicle, with primary driver and co-driver
- Weekly timesheets checked against the general working-time rules of North Macedonia, Albania, Germany or the UK
What live tachograph data needs
A Teltonika tracker wired to the truck's digital tachograph, such as the FMC650, and the Business package. Trucks read only over the FMS interface show the card and the activity without driving times, and without a wired tracker Fleet Hero only estimates driving time from ignition and speed. Fleet Hero does not analyse tachograph download files.

05Questions
Questions from transport and logistics companies

Does Fleet Hero read our trucks' tachographs?
Yes, through the tracker. With a tracker wired to the digital tachograph, such as the Teltonika FMC650, you see the cards in both slots, the current activity and the driving time left before a break, today and this week. Fleet Hero does not analyse the files downloaded from driver cards and vehicle units, so keep your current tool for those.
Which trackers do our trucks need?
Teltonika trackers. For trucks with a digital tachograph, the FMC650 reads the CAN bus and can be wired to the tachograph; vans and cars can use simpler models. Trackers are sold from €65, with half paid in advance and half after installation, and installation starts at €49 per vehicle.
Do our vans need a tachograph from July 2026?
Since 1 July 2026, EU rules require a smart tachograph in many vans over 2.5 and up to 3.5 tonnes used for international transport or cabotage, with exemptions for some own-account transport. For vans registered outside the EU, the position under the AETR agreement is less clear. Our guide to vans and tachographs explains both, and we can tell you whether a tracker can be wired to your van's tachograph.
Can we check working time as well as driving time?
Partly. Drivers who sign in to HR Hero keep a weekly timesheet, and each submitted week is checked against the general working-time rules of their work country, such as daily maximums, rest between shifts, the hours worked in the week and breaks. Rules exist for North Macedonia, Albania, Germany and the United Kingdom, and timesheets can be submitted only for drivers who work there. A breach blocks the submission unless a waiver is on file. These are general employment rules, not the road-transport working-time rules of Directive 2002/15/EC, so check your drivers' working time against those separately.
Does Fleet Hero produce travel orders?
No. Fleet Hero records every trip with its vehicle, driver, start, end and distance, and its reports export to PDF, Excel or CSV, but it does not produce the travel-order form or calculate per diems.
What does Fleet Hero cost for a truck fleet?
From €10.80 per vehicle per month, with the SIM card and mobile data included. Live tachograph data is part of the Business package, at €18.80 per vehicle per month. Prices exclude VAT, and paying annually takes 10% off.
