Weekly planner
One week of shifts on one grid
The planner shows employees in rows and the days from Monday to Sunday in columns. Pick a cell to assign a shift with a start time, an end time and, if you want, a role. Move a week forward or back to plan ahead or to look at what was planned.

Employees see their shifts in Office Hero Connect
Each employee's schedule in Office Hero Connect lists their upcoming shifts with the date, the time, the role and the status. It is read-only, so the plan stays with you, and the employee clocks in from the attendance page of the same portal.

Work schedules
Work-schedule patterns per country
Describe the patterns your company works to: a named schedule with its country, weekly hours, days per week and rotation length in weeks, switched on or off as you need. Tiles show how many patterns you have, how many are active and their average weekly hours.

What the planner does not do
The web planner adds shifts one at a time and lists the first 50 employees in alphabetical order, including former employees. A shift cannot be changed or removed once it is saved, a week cannot be copied, and a shift cannot run past midnight. Shift swaps between colleagues are not available, and planned shifts are not checked against working-time rules, which run on timesheets instead.

Do employees see their shifts?
Yes. Each employee's schedule in Office Hero Connect lists their upcoming shifts with the date, time, role and status, in any computer or phone browser. The schedule is read-only.
Are employees told when they get a new shift?
No. HR Hero sends no message about new shifts. A new shift appears in the employee's schedule in Office Hero Connect as soon as it is saved, so employees check their schedule there.
Can employees swap shifts?
No. Neither Office Hero Connect nor HR Hero has a swap request, so swaps are agreed outside the app.
Does the planner check working-time rules?
No. HR Hero checks working time when a timesheet is submitted, for employees in North Macedonia, Albania, Germany and the United Kingdom, not when a shift is planned.
Can we plan rotating rosters?
You can record a rotation's length, weekly hours and working days as a work-schedule pattern, and assign the shifts week by week in the planner. The planner does not fill the weeks from a pattern for you.
Which package includes shift planning?
Shift planning is part of HR Hero Essentials, from €2.90 per employee per month excluding VAT, and of HR Hero Professional.
